I’ve worked with these techniques with hundreds of my clients and have seen it help their anxiety and breathing pattern – it’s been transformative and brought so much relief. The trick is to keep going, make it a nourishing daily practice for you morning and evening.

 

HERE ARE SOME RECOMMENDATIONS TO MAKE THIS THE BEST EXPERIENCE

Make sure you are warm, comfortable, sitting up and supported (feet on floor and leaning back on chair)

If you feel like crying or get emotional please trust this and allow yourself to release the emotions, holding them in will only add to the stress you’re already experiencing and its a perfectly normal (and welcome) response.  The breath is medicine for you so trust this

If you find it hard or don’t know if you’re doing it right just check in with your body and see what it feels like for you, and go slow and gently without adding pressure to yourself.  The fact your breathing and trying is a practice in mindfulness and this is wonderful that you are making time – your body will be benefitting

If technique two is challenging go slowly, 2 seconds is enough each time to start with and you can just allow longer gaps – listen to your body and allow yourself to feel – slow wins the race here
